Managing Roles

Roles

Interlynk provides the following user roles as defaults:

Role
Capabilities

Admin

Has permissions to manage the organization

Operator

Has permissions to manage Products, Versions and SBOM

Viewer

Has permissions to view Products, Versions and SBOM

Custom

A sample role added to help customize permissions

Permissions associated with default roles 'Admin,' 'Operator,' and 'Viewer' are read-only and cannot be modified.

Updating User Role
  1. Navigate to

  2. Click on the 'Settings' side-navigation button

  3. Click on the 'Organization' tab

  4. Click on the 'Users' tab

  5. Click on the '...' next to the user to be removed

  6. Click 'Change Role'

  7. Select a new Role

  8. Click 'Update' to complete

Custom Role

Additional roles can be added that customize the permissions based on organizational needs.

Adding Custom Role
  1. Click on the 'Settings' side-navigation button

  2. Click on the 'Organization' tab

  3. Click on the 'Roles' tab

  4. Click on the '+' button to add a role

  5. Enter a name for the role and copy permission from an existing role

  6. Click 'Save' to complete

Updating Permission of a Custom Role
  1. Click on 'Settings' side-navigation button

  2. Click on the 'Organization' tab

  3. Click on the 'Roles' tab

  4. Click on '...' of an existing role

  5. In the side-drawer, check or un-check any permission to update

'Personal Settings'
