Distributing SBOM

Interlynk keeps it trivial to distribute SBOM to regulators or customers directly with SBOM download as a file or an interactive view with Interlynk's ShareLynk feature.

Download SBOM

The platform supports downloading:

Original SBOM

• Not supported if the version was built manually

• SBOM's original specification (CycloneDX, SPDX), format (JSON, XML), and spec version remain intact

Updated SBOM

The platform supports downloading SBOM as:

Specification

• CycloneDX-1.5 as JSON

• SPDX-2.3 as JSON

• PDF

Content

• Parts to include components and vulnerabilities inherited from parts

• Vulnerabilities to include vulnerability details inside SBOM (for CycloneDX only)

• Vulnerability Status to include vulnerability statuses (VEX) inside SBOM (for CycloneDX only)

• Base64 Unencoded to make base64 encoded parts of the SBOM readable

Download SBOM for manual distribution

1. Navigate to the SBOM page

2. Click on the 'Download' button

3. Select the desired specification and file format of the SBOM

4. Check the 'Include Vulnerabilities' checkbox to include vulnerability and exploitability statuses in the SBOM

5. Click 'Download' to complete

ℹ️ The Download view shows a quick summary of Compliance Checks of the SBOM to ensure any Compliance requirements can be cross-checked easily

Create ShareLynk for automatic distribution

1. Navigate to the Products page

2. Click on the 'View ShareLynk' under Actions '...'

3. Click on the '+' Add ShareLynk

4. Select an Expiration Date or No Expiration checkbox

5. Click 'Add'

6. Copy the newly generated link for sharing

ℹ️ ShareLynk makes all environments accessible to the receiver as well as automatically shares SBOM of newer versions until the expiration date
